The OTW's response

The OTW has responded to our campaign and provided an update on their progress regarding the promises they made three years ago to make AO3 a more welcoming space for fans of color!

Here's an excerpt from the post linked above:

In May, fans organized a campaign against racism in the OTW, and we want to take a moment to thank everyone who participated. We hear and appreciate the people who continue to reach out to us, to share their ideas and their concerns, and to hold us accountable.

We will continue to take action to hold them accountable and follow through on their promises, but this is an important and appreciated message from the OTW. And we couldn't have done it without everyone who participated - so thank you ALL for everything you did to support the campaign!

holy shit??? amazing! maybe I should start crossposting my squidge fics to Ao3 if they start making more progress in reformation... but I'm also rather scared, for "unrelated to the OTW" reasons
